Idaho Representative Heather Scott: “It is not the role of government in a free society to tell us what we can and can not do”

April 2, 2020 | Redoubt News |

“Remember, these unconstitutional edicts, they do not take precedence over inalienable rights. Our Constitution just doesn’t disappear in these times of emergency. The government has to work within the boundaries of the Constitution, even during crisis times. That’s how free societies work.”

“It is not the role of government in a free society to tell us what we can and can not do…. Let’s not relinquish our rights because of fear. ”

6 Things that we can do:

  1. Turn off the lying television set – Stop being fearful
  2. Go back to business as normal. Be a self reliant, self responsible citizen
  3. Start learning your rights, exercise your rights
  4. Educate yourself and your neighbors on the Constitution
  5. Stop thinking about government as top down system. Our Republic is designed to be bottom up with all power residing in the People
  6. Stand up, speak up, show up against tyranny at all levels

“Our rights and freedoms are more important than any emergency… We are the leaders we have been waiting for. Be a leader, take the lead and exercise your rights. Stand up for others, because when you stand up, others will stand with you.”
