The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced plans to provide $14 million in new research grants for Atmospheric System Research (ASR) program science.
“The TRacking Aerosol Convection interactions ExpeRiment (TRACER) is scheduled from October 2021 through September 2022 in and around Houston, Texas. The area is unique because it commonly experiences numerous isolated convective systems and a spectrum of aerosol conditions.
ARM, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science user facility, will deploy one of its three mobile facilities southeast of downtown Houston and a scanning precipitation radar south of downtown.” LINK
